張 禛 宏 Zhang Zhen Hong

Zhang Zhen Hong. I'm sure alot of people would wonder who this person is... I would say he’s my “Salsa Si Kung” (The Teacher of my teacher) but that would make it sound like he’s bloody old. Right? So let me try to put it in another way...

Zhang Zhen Hong is a relatively new artist with his first EP to be releasing soon. Now he venture into the world of Blogging to get closer to his fans and listeners. You can visit his blog at http://zhangzhenhong.blogspot.com/ and get the latest updates. I’ll try to keep readers of this site updated as well with all that he is doing in regards to his music.

He’ll be releasing his EP on the 24th of March and I hope the readers of my blog would help push his songs in the radio by voting for him and calling in to request for his songs. If you are lucky, I’ll be giving away a CD or two of his to the lucky readers. So stay tuned!

A lawyer who has a decent day job, he went through years of waiting, disappointments and diaphragm torturing just to produce an EP. He is now living his dreams of coming out with his own music. Now his dream is realized and soon, you’d be listening to his music over the radio.

But as fellow dancers/Salseras/Salseros, let us do our part in supporting him. You can start by heading to your neighbourhood music shops and ask for Zhang Zhen Hong's album. As a Malaysian artist, especially in Malaysia, is not easy. With such wide ranging competition among the other singers and the rampant piracy. The only thing we can do to help, with budget or no budget are these:

1. BUY ORIGINAL album .. of Zhang Zhen Hong. Let's support buy getting one of these little treasure, and when Jeamie bring him by the dance studio, we can also get him to sign on the album making it even more precious. I heard that it would be sold below RM 20.00 .

2. Call up the local radio stations which play chinese songs, and REQUEST for Zhang Zhen Hong's song ( # 3 - titled, So hou ... i think it means waiting in English)

3. Observe and list out all the restaurants, all cafes in your area that plays chinese music. We can get Zhen Hong's promoters to provide them with complimentary music.

The more airplay = the more publicity= the better the reception. So do what you can do, be it just little or a lot. Every effort counts.

Check out some sample of his songs right here.
